Located at the innermost point of the Gulf of Gökova, where the Azmak River flows into the gulf, Akyaka in Muğla is one of Turkey's rare 'slow tourism' villages. Close to the UNESCO creative cities network, it offers a distinct atmosphere with its houses built in traditional wooden Muğla architecture.
